Oil painting workshop

$800.00
Sold Out

This fun and inspiring oil painting workshop will be held on Sunday, February 23 from 10am-4pm, and Monday, February 24 2025, from 10am-3pm, at the Square Pear Gallery in beautiful Kennett Square, Pa.

We will be painting florals and all supplies will be included.

In these classes we will be creating oil paintings from photos that will be provided.

If I could say it in words there would be no reason to paint. –Edward Hopper.

Spontaneity and freshness are always what I strive for in my painting practice and my goal is to teach you how to incorporate this into your work because having fun is what it’s all about.

You will learn skills such as underpainting, transparent vs. opaque colors, creating a strong color palette and color mixing technique, which you can add to your painting practice in a stress-free and supportive environment.

No experience necessary. Ages 18+

The cost is $800 and all supplies are included.

Coffee, pastries and lunch are included. Please let me know of any dietary restrictions. And we will plan to get together for dinner on Sunday evening at a nearby restaurant (this is not included in the fee).

Class size is limited to only nine students.

I hope you can join us!

Square Pear Gallery is a beautiful destination in charming downtown Kennett Square, Pa, not far from Longwood Gardens. It is a perfect venue for feeling inspired and relaxed.

Here are some kind thoughts from my “students”:

I highly recommend attending Kim’s workshop. Online is great but the value of in person practicing and asking questions was critical for me as I haven’t painted in 40 years.  The course was amazing as was Kim, Corien and the other women attending the class.  Loved walking away with 2 painting and the motivation to continue practicing a long lost hobby! –Paula

I have very little experience with oil paint. I was worried the learning curve was going to be huge, but Kim teaches one step at a time and it all comes together effortlessly! I left the workshop with some fantastic paintings and a full well of creative energy. –Jess

Kim is a warm, caring instructor who provides a welcoming environment that fuels creativity.  After taking her oil painting workshop I was filled with a new-found desire to sustain a daily art practice. –Ashlee

Had a blast! It was my very first experience with oil paint. I loved the relaxing laid-back environment. I’d definitely recommend it. –Amanda Bedeaux

Kim’s workshop was relaxing, inviting and full of great techniques and tips. The pace was perfect and she’s very real as well as instructive. Enjoyed it and will come back!

Fantastic—my favorite workshop ever! You surprised us with beautiful aprons and delicious food. Thanks for a perfect painting experience in a gorgeous setting. –Carol

Loved your class and venue was amazing. The ease of having supplies provided was awesome, too. Look forward to taking another class when you offer again. –Heather Hughes

Thank you for being an inspiration. I went from a collector of your beautiful art to a novice artist myself! Your workshop was first class. Can’t wait for the next one! –Ellen Corr

Painting with Kim is a dream seminar. You want for nothing and learn so much. Kim is by your side for questions and lets you bloom as you paint. I have painted with her twice and will again and again! –Joanne K.
