Orange slices oil painting demo

You know those totally crazy, random ideas that come in the middle of the night? Well this is the result of one of those crazy ideas. I was thinking about an acrylic abstract painting I was working on with my Inspiring Art Collective and had just gotten satsuma oranges at the grocery store. I buy them because they actually have the leaves on them, which is key for an artist! So first thing the next morning I did a photoshoot of the oranges on the painting. I love how the orange slices seem to glow against the colorful complementary background. Oh, so fun! Enjoy!
