Crabapple oil painting demo

As nothing in life seems to be what we are used to right now, I appreciate things like my painting time where nothing has to change unless I want it to.

Today I chose to try something new and painted with a wash of burnt sienna underneath instead of my usual bright transparent colors, which I think gave my painting a warm romantic feel. I am really happy with the result…and plan to try this more in the future.

The photo was taken on one of my afternoon walks that I am taking as often as I can right now. I am appreciating the simple things in life now more than ever. I am sure you are feeling the same way! Stay well my friend!
