Calendar inspiration...

I’m not a procrastinator, at least that’s what I tell myself. So each year I plan to create my calendar much further in advance than the previous year, so I’m not behind the 8 ball playing catch up at the last minute. But here’s something I learned this year. Everything happens in its own good time. You don’t need to force it. For the longest time I knew I needed to start working on my calendar. What should it be? I’ve done birds, florals, party birds, but I wanted to create something different this year. Then one day I painted one of my old standby favs, blueberries, which inspired me to paint lemons, and limes and raspberries and before I knew it my calendar concept was born. Fruitful. It was random and a bit magical to be honest. It happened organically. So I guess what I’m saying is don’t put so much pressure on yourself. Try to relax into things. Just show up every day and be ready when inspiration lands on you. That’s when the magic happens. Here’s wishing you a fruitful 2020!
