Counting Down to Rittenhouse

Over the past few weeks, my studio has been buzzing with anticipation. I’m getting ready for the Rittenhouse Square Fine Art Show—tweaking a few favorite pieces, framing, and figuring out my booth setup. It’s a mix of late nights, lots of coffee, and plenty of paint on my hands, but honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Every brushstroke feels like it’s carrying me closer to those three days in Philly, when I finally get to share my work in person with collectors, friends, and anyone who stops by to say hi.

This show is extra special to me—not just because it’s one of the most beautiful outdoor art shows in the country, but also because I serve on the board. Rittenhouse has a huge place in my heart, and I’m so proud to be part of keeping its long tradition alive. In my (slightly biased) opinion, it really is the best show!

What I love most about it is the chance to connect in real time. So much of being an artist happens in the quiet of the studio, but those three days are about community—sharing stories, hearing what draws people into a painting, and watching a piece find its forever home. There’s nothing quite like seeing someone light up when they connect with a painting—it’s a reminder of why I paint in the first place.

So if you find yourself in Philadelphia September 19–21, come wander through the park, soak in the creativity, and say hello to me at booth 106. I’ll be there with a booth full of color, a few surprises, and maybe a bit of paint still on my hands.
